Privacy policy

Snoowl is operated by Snoowl. This policy covers this website (snoowl.com), Snoowl Audit and Snoowl Answers. Snoowl Audit and Snoowl Answers share one Snoowl account, so most of what follows applies to both.

Hawzu has its own privacy policy at hawzu.com/privacy.

• Analytics. snoowl.com uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records the pages you view, how you arrived (such as a search engine or a link), your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city or country). It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) so repeat visits aren't counted as new visitors. Advertising features are switched off: no ad cookies, no Google Signals and no ad personalisation. To opt out, use Google's browser add-on or block cookies for this site.
• Server logs. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages keep standard request logs (such as your network address and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running.
• Fonts. The page's fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them.
• Emails to us. If you write to us, we use your message and address to reply, and keep the conversation as long as it's needed.

To use Snoowl Audit or Snoowl Answers we keep your name, email address, a one-way hash of your password, the workspaces you belong to and your role in each, and when you signed in (with the network address, for security).

• What you add. The documents and web pages you upload or link, what we read from them, the questions written from them, and your chatbot connections. Connection secrets (API keys and header values) are encrypted and never shown back.
• What audits produce. Each question asked, your chatbot's answer, how long it took and the verdict, plus any review labels and notes your team adds.

• Conversations. Each question your customers ask, the answer, the sources it used, how long it took and any feedback. They're kept for the number of days you set, or with the question and answer text left out if you choose.

Balance top-ups, invoices where agreed, and what each action or answer cost.

Only to run the products for you, keep them secure, and support you. We don't sell any of it, and we don't use your documents, questions, answers or conversations to train AI models.

We use trusted third-party service providers to process data on our behalf, for things like hosting, storage, email delivery, AI processing and website analytics. They handle it only to help us run our products and this website.

Services you choose to connect, such as your own chatbot or a Slack workspace for alerts, receive what you send them.

Everything stays until you delete it, except Snoowl Answers conversations, which follow the retention you set. Deleting a project or an assistant removes its documents, questions, keys, runs and conversations. A workspace owner can delete the whole workspace, and anyone can delete their own login from their account settings.

Billing records are kept after a workspace is deleted, as the law requires for financial records. Short-lived records, such as pending sign-ups and password links, expire on their own.

This website sets only Google Analytics' cookies (_ga and _ga_*), described above, and no advertising cookies. The Snoowl Audit and Snoowl Answers apps keep your sign-in in your browser's storage, and use no advertising or tracking cookies.

To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have anything we hold about you deleted, email support@snoowl.com. We'll confirm it's you, then act on the request.
